Website & Product Terms

These terms govern use of the fr.aime labs website and, together with the information presented at Gumroad checkout, the purchase and use of Strata.

1. About fr.aime labs

fr.aime labs is operated by Tiago Morgado & Francisco Nunes, Lda., Lisbon, Portugal. VAT number: PT513613269. Contact: hello@fraimelabs.com.

2. Website information

This website describes fr.aime labs and its products. We aim to keep product information accurate, but website material is general information and is not structural-engineering advice, a design approval or a substitute for professional judgement.

3. Purchase through Gumroad

Purchases are completed through Gumroad, which acts as merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing, applicable taxes, first-tier refund requests and licence delivery. The price, billing period, plan and transaction terms shown at checkout form part of your purchase. If website information conflicts with checkout, review checkout carefully and contact us before paying.

4. Plans and billing

One permits one activation. Ten permits up to ten activations under one licence key. Unlimited permits organisation-wide deployment under one licence key. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew according to the billing details accepted at Gumroad checkout. Cancellation and billing management are handled through Gumroad. Every plan includes continuous updates and support; support priority is Unlimited, then Ten, then One.

5. Software licence

Subject to payment and these terms, fr.aime labs grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Strata for internal professional work within the activation limit of the selected plan. You must not share a key outside the purchasing person or organisation; sell, sublicense or redistribute Strata; circumvent licence or security controls; remove ownership notices; or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it.

6. Technical scope

Compatibility and system requirements are stated on the Strata page. You are responsible for confirming that your environment meets them before purchase. Strata requires SAP2000 V26 or V27 with functioning API access. Advanced and Ultimate licence levels are verified; other levels are not yet validated by fr.aime labs. SAP2000 and other third-party software are not included.

7. Activation

An internet connection is required. The licence is validated at every application launch. A temporary inability to reach the activation service may prevent Strata from starting until connectivity is restored.

8. Engineering responsibility

Strata is a post-processing and decision-support tool. It does not replace finite-element analysis software, a competent structural engineer or independent checking. Inputs, assumptions, checks, reinforcement layouts and exported outputs must be reviewed and approved by a suitably qualified engineer.

9. Intellectual property

fr.aime labs and its licensors retain ownership of Strata, the website and associated documentation. The licence permits use; it does not transfer ownership or intellectual-property rights.

10. Updates and availability

We may correct defects, improve or change Strata and the website. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or perpetual compatibility with third-party software. All current plans include continuous updates while the subscription remains active.

11. Refunds and withdrawal rights

Refund requests are handled through Gumroad under the terms presented at checkout and on the receipt, subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. For digital content, starting immediate download or access after express agreement may affect a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right.

12. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Strata and the website are provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated at checkout. fr.aime labs is not responsible for engineering decisions made from unreviewed inputs or outputs, third-party software failures, or use outside the documented scope. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

13. Termination

The licence may be suspended or terminated for material breach, including unauthorised sharing or redistribution. Provisions intended to survive termination, including ownership and accrued payment obligations, remain effective.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, without restricting mandatory consumer rights or any forum that applicable law requires.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these terms for future website use or purchases. A change will not retrospectively remove mandatory rights. Questions can be sent to hello@fraimelabs.com.
