Reinforced-concrete shell post-processing
Strata
Think bigger. Design better.Reinforced-concrete shell post-processing
See what matters across the whole structure. Turn shell results into reinforcement decisions you can understand, review and take forward.

CLARITY CHANGES EVERYTHING
See the structure.
Find the better design.
A result map is a starting point. Strata helps you understand where the design is governed, investigate the critical regions and develop reinforcement that makes sense. Section mechanics, connected regions and practical patches keep your decisions grounded.
WORKFLOW
A clearer path from results to decisions.
- 01
Connect
Connect to a SAP2000 model and retrieve shell geometry, section data and force results.
- 02
Define
Select shell groups, design actions, base reinforcement, sections and reinforcement levels.
- 03
Assess
Review Wood–Armer forces, MN efficiency, crack width, shear demand and governing clusters.
- 04
Rationalise
Integrate demand across bands and apply or refine orthogonal reinforcement patches.
- 05
Interrogate
Use maps, probes and section cuts to examine critical regions and local behaviour.
- 06
Output
Export CAD and IFC layouts, approximate schedules, Excel data and Word reports.
UNDERSTAND THE FULL SHELL
Give the whole structure your attention.
See how bending, membrane action and reinforcement demand relate across the surface. Wood–Armer forces and MN efficiency maps help you find where your judgement matters most.
- Full-surface ULS efficiency maps
- Automatic connected-cluster identification
- Peak-efficiency navigation and filtering

ASSESS REAL REINFORCEMENT
Design the reinforcement you intend to build.
Explore multi-layer reinforcement in both shell directions and assess the section intended for the project. Keep materials, reinforcement levels and assumptions visible as the layout develops.
- User-defined concrete and steel
- Top and bottom reinforcement layers
- Visible section assumptions

MOVE BEYOND ISOLATED CHECKS
Understand what the peak is telling you.
Investigate critical regions with probes, section cuts and design bands. Integrated forces, MN interaction and detailed crack-width checks give the design decision context.
- Band-force integration
- Local MN interaction plots
- Detailed EN 1992-1-1 crack-width checks

TURN ANALYSIS INTO INTENT
Give the design a form you can share.
Develop orthogonal reinforcement patches from demand and connected design regions. Review the arrangement in 3D, then carry the idea into drawings, coordination and reports.
- Patch-based reinforcement upgrades
- 3D reinforcement review
- CAD, IFC, Excel and Word outputs

REINFORCEMENT-ORIENTED OUTPUTS
Keep the idea clear through the handover.
Bring the design into CAD, IFC, spreadsheets and reports. Share reinforcement layouts and design information that the next person can review and develop.

ENGINEERING JUDGEMENT
Understand the tools. Own the decision.
Automatic patch generation is heuristic and must be reviewed. Rapid crack-width maps use machine-learning approximations; detailed EN 1992-1-1 verification is available through section cuts. Curved shells are not currently supported.
All reinforcement layouts, checks and exported outputs must be reviewed and approved by a qualified structural engineer.

FAQ
Direct answers.
What is Strata?
A Windows desktop application for post-processing reinforced-concrete shell designs from SAP2000 models. It translates shell results into reinforcement assessment, code checks, design maps and reinforcement-oriented outputs.
Who is it designed for?
Structural engineers designing reinforced-concrete slabs, walls and planar shell structures, including consultancies working with advanced or nonlinear finite-element models.
Does it replace finite-element software?
No. Strata connects to SAP2000 and post-processes its model and results. It is a decision-support tool, not an analysis solver or automatic design authority.
Which analysis software and licence are supported?
Direct connectivity is tested with SAP2000 V26 and V27. Strata requires a SAP2000 installation with working API access. Advanced and Ultimate licences are verified; other licence levels are not yet validated by fr.aime labs.
Which checks are included?
Wood–Armer design forces, MN interaction-efficiency assessment, ULS maps, shear-demand review and crack-width assessment to EN 1992-1-1. Detailed crack-width verification is available through section cuts.
How is the licence delivered and activated?
Gumroad delivers the licence key after purchase. An internet connection is required and the licence is validated at each Strata launch.
Are updates and support included?
Yes. Every plan includes continuous updates and support. Support priority is Unlimited, followed by Ten and One.
How is VAT handled?
Displayed prices exclude VAT. Gumroad calculates and handles applicable VAT during checkout.
Can firms purchase multiple licences?
Yes. Ten permits up to 10 activations under one licence key; Unlimited permits organisation-wide deployment under one licence key.
